Despite what it looks like on this page, I don’t take a ton of selfies. But I realized by going through the pictures on my phone, that I take a lot of selfies for my mom. Usually it’s in regard to my hair. I remember sending her a lot during the pandemic while I was working remotely. My hair had grown longer than it had been in a while and my gray hair was coming in fast and furious. I think she found it amusing because she too had gone gray around the same time in her life. Now that I’m back in a more regular routine with my hairdresser, I also send her selfies around the time of my appointments. (both before and after These are just a few of the ones I’ve sent her in the last 3 years.
