that looks like a good thousand pieces or more!i'm sure many good conversations and cuppa's are also shared during the making and i know that proud feeling! you kinda never want to pull it apart to put back in the box! love the journal banner andbig snowflake matting the photo!
Great photo! Great jigsaw puzzle, and a great winter activity. I used to love them, but then I discovered I was the only one completing them, became obsessed with them, wouldn't sleep, wouldn't eat until they were done. LOL. As an aside, I read an article about an artist who discovered that often manufacturers of jigsaw puzzles (same size, same # of pieces, same manufacturer) used identical die cuts for their puzzles. His artwork consisted of swapping out pieces from various puzzles and creating an entirely new design. It was really quite fascinating and some of the new "photos" that appeared were awesome.
@Cherylndesigns , @bellbird Yes, it's a fun tradition and a great way to visit around a common interest with everyone getting to be part of the team -- no losers as everyone contributes and we are all winners unlike game playing. Those difficult ones (yes 1000 pieces) are sometimes hard to be willing to take apart. That's why I have so many photos of us showing off our creations.
@mcurtt Yes they can become quite obsessive keeping some up late and causing others to rise early so they can have time all to themselves with coffee and the puzzle. Thanks for the info on the new kind of puzzle. I just read the article and loved seeing his work. Very creative.
