I met my best friend in 2004. over the years, we’ve each made new friends who we would always introduce to each other. In the early years, we met couple friends through our city league co-ed softball team. Later, when we had children, it was other pre-school moms that we connected with. over the years, People have moved in and out of our lives as our circumstances and routines have changed. But it seems that there is a small core group who we just can’t get rid of. in 2019, we started a group text with six of our closest friends. Since then, the chat remains active weekly, if not daily! There we share funny stories, accomplishments, and random chit chat. We also plan dinners and get-togethers on an almost monthly basis. Of course, we invite our husbands and our children sometimes ... and new friends are always welcome to join. But that core group is always there ... together. We’ve been on cruises, celebrated milestone birthdays, toasted new homes, and made a lot of great memories! We also love to take pictures to document it all. Most of us have an iPhone, so we use shared albums to make sure everyone has all the great shots captured. We’ve even started some traditions, like photo booths are parties and group photos for big events like New Year’s Eve. It’s so much fun to look back on the past five years to see just how close this group has grown.
