There was no such thing as “Maternity

photography in 1977 when I was pregnant

with Tracy. Me being me I wanted some

photos of my belly so I had Rick take

one ( the black and white one) in Dec 1977

when I was 9 mo pregnant. I felt a little

silly but knew I would want to see my

belly. There are no photos of my belly

with Becca. I guess I just forgot. In Sept 1982

I had Rick take these photos of me when

I was pregnant with Hilary. I even thought

to get one with Tracy and the belly.


Who knew “Maternity Photos” would become

the rage and everyone was doing this by the

2000’s. My girls were not comfortable with

belly photos and after we lost Oliver of

course we couldn’t think of taking photos.


Who knew I would end up as a hobbyist

photographer and did eventually do one

“maternity photo” shoot with Hilary when

she was expecting Spencer.


It’s great having a photo of Hilary in my belly

and Hilary with her belly.
