"On September 29, 2018 (one day before my birthday) my amazing husband got me a little gift! We had been looking for a "practical" vehicle for me to have as my daily driver since November 2017. Driving Adam's truck all the time was really bumming him out. Now I already had a great car, my 4th mustang. Unfortunately, I had to get serious about something that wasn't rear wheel drive. Something that wouldn't have trouble in the snow (that we usually get in the winter). So I had been looking at SUVs and thought I'd like something with a third row for driving the girls' friends and cousins places with us. I kind of liked the Honda Pilot but it was pretty big looking and didn't have some of the features I was hoping for. Then I looked at the MDX which I liked the body style on and most of the features, however, it was hard to find a decent priced used one. Adam said after he bought his truck he'd never buy another vehicle from a dealer, and wouldn't even consider fresh off the lot. I then started looking at the explorers and was so smitten I didn't even want to look at anything else. I test drove a few different SUVs including the Ford Flex (but I wasn't feeling that body style at all). I loved the way the Explorer drove but Adam was worried it was too big for me. Months went by and I figured it just wasn't going to happen. I often looked on craigslist for used explorers and nothing fit the year and price range (2015 or newer for less than $30,000... I was delusional). Finally Adam decided he couldn't hold out anymore and took me to the dealer the day before my birthday and he had found this great brand new, fresh off the lot, perfect color, 2018 Explorer with every feature I wanted for a better price than most used older Explorers. Now it was a little more than my original budget but truth be told, I could not love a human baby more than I love this SUV... joking of course! I do love it though, SO MUCH! Best GIFT EVER from the BEST HUSBAND EVER!"
