Journaling (233 words):
Steph and I met over 10 years ago, on a motorcycle poker run. Literally 30 minutes before Jim and I had a motorcycle crash. We were seated near each other in the restaurant and her infectous laugh caught my attention. I introduced myself and we were friends from that moment on. She heard about the crash and visited us that evening. That is exactly who Steph is . . . caring and the first to arrive in a crisis and give comfort.
Over the years, we have experienced life together . . . death, marriage, divorce, new homes, lots of travel together, art and everything in between.
When she first watched this show, she called and said you have to watch this show. Her husband said it could have been based on us. Over the years, we watched together, intrigued by the similarities. By appearance, we too are very different. But together, it’s perfect. She makes me laugh and be a little goofy. I’m here when she needs a little grounding or advice.
We felt so strongly about these two characters that we each got a tattoo. I have grace on my right wrist. She has Frankie on her right collarbone.
She is the friend that will pop into work to check on me, and give me a hug because she knew I was having a rough day. This is a true friend.
What a wonderful friendship! I have not seen that show, but I think I need to check it out! I adore your beautiful story and amazing page!! Thanks so much for playing along with my challenge
