glorious photography and use of purple throughout the page! this is a familiar site in Australia around this time usually too, (the tree in our front yard hasn't got any purple petals yet so it must be more the end of Oct/Nov here but i can't remember and the weather has been weird this year & confused the plants a fair bit)
