I've been through an awkward situation the past few weeks that has put pressure on me to take over a local community group from someone who has developed a chronic illness. Saying yes was the wrong thing for me and my family. It would have caused me stress that I can't take on right now. Saying no means the closing of the group. Yesterday I just had to say no. Talking to the trustees and the previous group leader they have all supported my decision and said that it's totally okay to say no. The trustees are going to review the situation and see if there is another way of meeting the need other than via that particular weekly group activity.

Angela, a great message on your wonderful artjournal page. Thank you for sharing the behind story. I am sure you made the right decision as your health and family are all so very important.
Fantastic, I love the sentiment. I can say no and have that be an answer all on its own - but I know how hard that can be. Well done to you for putting your and your family's needs first. And creating an artsy layout about it.
