My dear father-in-law passed away years ago, and my mother-in-law passed away recently in May. It was a long time coming, she had very bad dementia. She was a dear, sweet, talented, smart, woman. It hit hard as I've known her my whole life. My husband and I met in high school. That poor woman had been putting up with me forever! It's been a rough time as my mom also fell and broke her hip and shoulder at assisted living. Sigh. As my mother-in-law used to say: This too shall pass.

Such a wonderful tribute to your MIL. It is so hard when they pass away but as long as we remember them they are still with us.
