those red patterns give this a bit of a tea towel look (which just feels so appropriate) & i love your 'bespoke' apron story - my mum made me a few b/cos the pockets always catch on my kitchen cupboard handles (probably because i'm short) & i end up giving myself whiplash or dropping or sloshing whatever i'm holding but i like pockets to hold my ipod or whatever so she put the pocket on the inside because i was self-conscious of wearing 'normal' aprons kind of inside out to reduce my cupboard handle incidents!
