Q WOW What on earth’s that & what’s it doing?
A It’s a baby Turkmenian Eagle Owl, his name’s Lenny. He’s looking out the window.
Q Is it normal for an owl to be in the house … what’s he doing here?
A Oh it’s very normal for owls to be in this house; Carly raises 7 trains them to fly – you’ll soon see him flying free in the lounge!
Q No kidding! Hope he has good direction skills – don’t want him flying into me.
This is hilarious! Look at him! How long will you have him? What a cool gig to raise and train owls! Great layout and of COURSE your owl is adorable and totally matches. Great little branch too. I love the idea of making a layout about walls talking.
Thank you so much @yellowpeep
This was back in 2012 ... my DD is a falconer & one of their 'perks' is that she gets to bring home babies to raise & love until they get big (& strong) enough to fly (ie lost all their downy feathers). The time they're with us varies - 2-3 months sometimes. I think this was the first owl she ever brought home - he was & still is, a real sweetheart <3
