Ooooh ... I ♥ baking too!!!! My husband enjoys liking the batter off the beaters & scrapping out the mixing bowl (honestly he's like a kid!) ... my advice would be to turn your oven down. If you're following the recipe / timings etc, try turning the temp down by about 20oC (sorry not sure about oF conversion) and see if that helps resolve the burnt bits. Good luck!
