I created a layout that balances some genealogy & a my grandson interviewing me for a school project.
The journaling reads: Noah began: Where did your family come from? My mother’s family came from Wales. I don’t know exactly when. My father’s family probably arrived in Philadelphia on the ship “Charming Nancy” on 10/8/1737. My geneology traces to Peter Koffel born c. 1753-5 to Jacob Koffel. Jacob is likely the child of the 1737 immigrants. Wow! Do you have any heritage foods in your family? How about turkey lasagne? We both chuckle. My mother made a wonderful rhubarb crisp & awesome cinnamon buns. I love many of the classic foods of the area (shoefly pie, funny cake, even scrapple) but did not learn to cook them at home. Anything else I should know? Let me tell you about my cousin (2x removed), Adam. Born 2/16/1887, he died on 11/10/1918, the day before Armistice Day. He is buried in France. I think it‘s particularly sad to die on the last day of a war.
Great color combination for the template pieces. And I agree, an awesome & interesting interview. I always appreciate journaling on a page. Thanks SO MUCH for participating in Val's February template challenge.
And please remember to link your gallery image over at Val's blog to be included in the random drawing for her coupon.
