At 42, single and sure my
purpose in life was to be
a cat lady, I gave up on
dating and instead found
friends. A long time friend
suggested I meet up with
his friend Jim. Well, turns
out I went to school with
this guy. I didn’t really
know him then, but we met
for coffee and shared some
fun motorcycle rides. Turns
out, he had a crush on me
back then . . . and here we
are almost 10 years later,
married and loving life.

Over the years, we’ve realized
how many times we were
nearly next to one another,
yet never connected. We
both were in marriages and
probably wouldn’t have even
noticed one another then.

When the time was right
. . . it was right.
