When I saw the movie version of the Broadway musical "Dreamgirls," I was stunned by Jennifer Hudson's portrayal of Effie. I'd seen Hudson on "American Idol" and knew she had a powerful voice, but I'd never seen anything like the two standing ovations - IN A MOVIE THEATRE! - she received when she sang "And I Am Telling You " and "I Am Changing." I didn't know ANY of the songs listed on this week's inspiration mood board, but, when I saw the name Jennifer Hudson, I remembered that movie theatre experience. That is why I picked "I Am Changing" for this week's Monthly Muse.
