"Sitting on the Ohio River at the point where West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky meet, Huntington is home to educational and cultural opportunities as well as one of the largest river ports in the United States.” As a visitor you might ride a steamboat up the Ohio river or catch a gorgeous sunset on the river. You could visit one of the beautiful public parks or attend a concert on the riverfront. You might watch a world class soccer game with the 2020 National Champion Marshall University Men’s soccer team. You could visit the campus of Marshall University where the movie “We Are Marshall” was filmed staring Michael McConaughey. If you like to walk, bike, hike or boat there are many local state parks with trails and wilderness to get lost in. The parks offer outdoor theater productions in the summer and skiing in the winter. Heritage Farm & Village is an open-air museum that teaches guests about Appalachian history and culture.
The Huntington Art Museum offers rotating exhibits. Keep on the lookout for deer, black bears and other wildlife that share the woods with us.
