Journaling:
Moving. Leaving behind the streets and corners that had been my world for so long. Each step away felt heavy, as if roots were being pulled from deep within the soil of my hometown. The warmth of my family, once as constant as the sunrise, became echoes that faded with distance. The days ahead were filled with new faces, new paths, and new sounds, but the space left by those I loved ached. The thought of not seeing them for so long, of only holding them in memories and brief calls, tugged at my heart and made each farewell sting. I carried that bittersweet burden, learning that growth often came with the deepest of hurts.
This layout is so moving, it perfectly captures the heaviness of leaving behind a familiar world. The dark textures and blended photo evoke a deep, nostalgic feeling, while the touch of yellow adds a hint of hope and warmth. Truly beautifully done!
Thank you so much for playing along with Rachel & Lynn’s mixed media challenge.
