How it started

I have vivid memories of 'jumping the waves' with my mother on our first trips to the beach, when it was still a novelty for a family from the North of England. Now I live on an island and swim most days, including out into the deep, calm water at dawn (and from her comments on my FB posts, my mum is not too keen on that!)
