Hot August Nights

Description

I can never get my B&Ws right. My 9 year old has the most beautiful skin tone, but I wash out everything else when I start using treatments. IDEA came today, playing, I highlighted his face and brighten just a bit before finding a new b&w action. I used Splendid Fiins action...sadly she isn\'t in the store anymore. I loved it, but I wanted it a bit more artsy. I then went to the filters and did cross hatch...ooooooooh look how it brings out my boys amazing eyes...be still my heart! ♥♥♥

This page is inspired from a google search for b&w scrappages and Debbie Hodges had an awesome blog post. This page caught my eye, by Adyrane, but I couldn\'t find it in her original gallery.

and Background Paper from Shabby School Papers by Kim Jensen
Awesome job... he is such a cutie and I LOVE your football themed page.  This is just too fun!  I may need to scraplift your scraplift, hehe.

You did an amazing job on the b/w conversion. I have trouble with these as well, I'll have to give your suggestion a try. Wonderful page, and too bad that football didn't work out as expected, I have a boy playing ATOM football too (8 - 10 yrs old).

Too bad he didn't enjoy football more, but the photo and page are wonderful! Love all the details!

putting in my favs as inspiration for future sport pages! love this anne. so many great details. and glad you played around and came up with a B&W conversion to make your son shine! (thanks for sharing your process too!)

OH I LOVE THIS!! The pops of Turquiose really sets off the B&W photo! Which is a fab edit!

I can never get good B&W edits of my Dad, with his skin tone, and even worse if Mum, Me, Tim and/or Ty are in the photo with him - Maybe I need to be more patient and work harder at it! Adding this to my favs to remind me to try!!

Love your journalling too!

How cool are your...wow i love your black and white photo and the colors you chose for your overall look is phenominal...i love it!
