When my son was 13 we visited Hopewell Rocks during the off season, when there are no roped off sections and you can explore the cliffs at your own risk. He was never one to follow instructions very well, and took limitations as a challenge. The next thing I knew he had climbed up the side of a cliff and practically gave me a heart attack when he called for me to find him.
Now he is 20. He still marches to the beat of his own drum, but in much more productive ways. He is a leader, a thinker, a problem-solver... and a risk-taker!
What a wonderful memory of your son's youth! It sounds like you helped him to channel his energies in a good direction! It's amazing to see kids grow and sprout wings! I love the citrusy feel to your arrows and highlights pointing out your son's location! A great take on the challenge!
Goodness gracious, talk about getting a few white hairs! LOL... Glad he was okay and just adventurous and so glad he now take challenges more cautiously! Love the large photo, the arrows pointing out where he had gone too along with that paint half circle to focus the viewer. I really like the paper trims on the right and the journaling spot. TFS and playing along with the Nature Photography challenge Lynne-Marie!
Oh my goodness, I'm so glad you got that photo! Wonderful journaling. I really love that photo, sweet relief that he was okay after that. The arrows, the side bar, this page is amazingly cool.
