shadows are Just Jaimee 's December Freebie Shadow Styles - I think the photo frame (with the texture) was an old Mommyish Shadow Style Freebie
My original was shot at a really weird angle (we all were too lazy to walk all the way out to the tip of the island to get a better shot - some in my group weren't dressed warm enough either - so were ready to get back on the ferry). I did a little tweaking in Camera Raw (lens distortion) to try get the perspective less wonky - it worked a bit but not as much as I would have liked. I'm not well versed in that technical stuff! Miss Liberty was really washed out - bumped up contrast, etc ... and in the end, even though I would have liked to have kept the pretty pedestal - I thought the best option for this photo was a good crop! Now I like the angle - slightly looking up at her in all her majesty!
Jenn, this page is amazing. I LOVE the stars and your paper choices and those star brushes in the background really add a lot of interest and texture to the page. Love it all!
This is pure amazing-ness, Jenn!! I'm definitely going to have to grab that template and do a lift of your page! Your shadowing makes this look like a hybrid page and that title work is fab!
i think almost of all of the shadows were @justjaimee 's Dec freebie shadow styles - i actually need to update my credits - always forget to add in the shadow styles! if you don't subscribe to her newsletter - you should!
Jenn- Love this.. Love your cropping of Lady Liberty and your color adjustment.. this is absolutely perfect! It is also great color coord with the just breathe kit I too haven't been to see the Lady since I was a kid. We did the circle line tour in elementary.. that was as close as I ever got. You would think since I lived in NY my entire life until 30 that I would have gone once! (never been to Empire State Bldg either!!) Love your scrapping of this, your photo treatment and all the elements you used to showcase Liberty! Absolutely LOVE this Jenn!!
confession. @cfile 1st time ever at Empire State Bldg was this past August. hangs head in shame. (do we, as NYers, just avoid the ultra touristy stuff to a fault?)
@jenn mccabe I kinda think so !! I grew up on Long Island so going to the city was a rare occasion... either a school trip or a quick jaunt in to see a play on Broadway or to go to Radio City for a concert or MSG... We had no family in the city so no need to go in there
I reeeeaaaaalllly love this! The colors are perfect and I want this kit even more now. Love the stars and the doodle outlines behind them too. So pretty!
