My journaling:
Last week, despite the crisp autumn air and the distinct chill of approaching winter, I found myself with an overwhelming craving for helado.
Every time I eat it when it's this cold, I immediately think of my granny, who firmly believes helado shouldn’t be eaten when the weather drops.
She always says it’s a summer treat only and that I shouldn't eat it when the weather is so cold.
I know she would be shaking her head if she saw me having a bowl right now,
but those cold bites remind me of her laughter and the unique bond we share.
Maybe one day I’ll convince her to try a bite, even in the cold.
