journaling:
A photo album may include 100 images but holds countless moments full of touch, smell, sound and emotion. My daddy fancied himself a hobby photographer when I was young, spending hours taking random photo sessions of me and my siblings. Looking through our photo albums growing up is what gave me a love for the memories they held. In that way, his hobby is my heirloom, handed down unknowingly to me as a child. I asked for my first camera when I was only 10yrs old. As an adult having my own family, I knew I wanted to document our lives with snapshots just as mine was. When I found digital scrapbooking those images could now include the narrative. I print my layouts in albums recording the stories for you. As time passes and those moments push further from memory - one day what started as Paw-Paw’s hobby, paired with my creativity, will be the heirlooms I leave to you and your families.
Kiana this is beautiful! I love your page with some of the photos of you growing up that your Dad took and then some of your scrap pages that you made with your photos to tie in your inheriting the photography love from him. I loved reading your journaling, and I agree so much that photo albums contain more than photos. I love that between your Dad's photos and your scrapbook pages that they will be passed down and last through the ages. Wonderful! Great choice of kit to scrap your page too!!! Thank you for sharing and playing along with my day 7 Heirloom Challenge!
