on no you didn't LOL... another thing in common my dear friend!!! I absolutely adore the great blue heron and have lots of stories and memories of the "tame" ones from my Dad's... we called ours "Wendell" and now I associate it with my Dad when I see them. Gorgeous photos you captured and I love the blending of the larger one. I giggle as they really are comical. I have a close up of "Wendell" with all his feathers soaked from the rain... we always fished for him!!!

@cfile Oh Christa. This was such an unusual sighting, and a first for me. I came across the blue heron in the same spot where I usually take photos of the hawks. It was an unexpected surprise for sure. Knowing that you associate the great blue heron with your Dad just makes my day. Another sign for you.
