@michelepixels Thanks so much Michele... I haven't been down to the oceanfront in quite a while... we drove by there last week but not at the boardwalk or anything, but when we do go (I like to go in September when the sand sculptures are happening) then I always have to take photos of King Neptune Thanks again for your sweet comments!
@Trish Thank you so much Trish I used a bevel embossed style on the surf board PLUS I added a 50% gray fill layer above the surf board layer, set the 50% gray layer to soft light with fill set to 54% and then painted black on the 50% fill layer on the edge to get that 3D look more pronounced Doing the 50% gray fill layer with blend mode of soft light is just like dodge and burn for the 3D look but this way it is on a seperate layer if you want to change it up Thanks again for your sweet comment!
@Joan K thank you Joan.. if you get stuck let me know.. I know I did a tut with dodge and burn once and it may be in the learning pad otherwise one of these days I will write one up
Gorgeous layout! LOVE the embossed effect on the surfboard that really highlights King Neptune! I also love the shadowing on that rope/charm element at the top.
Loving that sea god sculpture, perfect framing of it in the surfboard, complete with trident. And the larger background supplements your sculpture. Lovely!
