Wow June already… this year is passing by so quickly and as you like to remind me every morning you have grown overnight! I can not believe you will be six in a month! A month! It is true you have grown so much in the past year. You have always been shorter then you should be for your age, my tiny little petite thing. But you shot up in these past few months. You are past my waist in height now…You are in such a hurry to grow up! While part of me can’t wait to see where your life takes you, I sincerely hope you take your time to enjoy all that childhood has to offer… it is such a magical time. You have had trouble waking up in the mornings lately and on one occasion in response to my saying you needed to get up to go to summer school so you can become smarter you replied “I’m smart enough”… touché, however we will work on humility

Last night was your first tee-ball game of the summer which you have been looking forward to for quite some time. You absolutely love being on the field and all that goes along with it (except maybe practicing) , the competition and of course the applause. Although you have played in past summers for some reason this summer’s games are more important to you then all the rest. I think it may be because you are older now and can appreciate it more?
It was a big day and I’m so proud of how you handled it all. You had swim lessons in the morning that totally pooped your little body out. I tried to get you to lay down for a nap, but you wouldn’t have any of that. After all you are almost six now, and naps are for babies you say. By the time it was time for your big game, you were so sleepy you could barely keep your eyes open. But you were excited in the same. How ever you stayed awake, God only knows! We walked down to the ball field, your siblings, and I , along with you. Your team ended up winning 10-2 …creaming the other team of 4 to 6 year olds. Kai and Bianca got to sit in the audience and, as instructed by you, they gave you the best clap ever. They are and always will be, along with Mommy, your biggest supporters in all that you do in this wondrous life.
To my little tee-ball star who knows nearly all the words to the frozen soundtrack, who believes she knows more then everyone else, even her mommy, and who is going to have two babies (a boy and then a girl) when she grows up, I love you to the moon and back (to which you would reply I love you to the sun and back… )
Lots of love Mommy xoxo
