Description
I'm mainly a hybrid glue and stick girl but I'm challenging myself to do more digital layouts and I've been wanting to try using digital templates. They aren't scary at all! I have no idea what I was so afraid of. I think that in my head I looked at the templates and saw journalling spots, flowers etc. and 'assumed' that they would have to go on my layout, that I would be breaking the 'rules' if I didn't keep them. Hah! My head is obviously filled with sawdust as there are no rules with templates and I have discovered that you can adapt them, stretch them, twist them, turn them and even *whisper* delete the flowers and the journalling if you want to. Nobody leapt out of my monitor with a big whip to berate me when I tweaked the templates to suit my layout and I have discovered they are a fabulous tool for inspiration, a starting point for creating a layout and really easy to work with as someone else has done all of the hardwork already of balancing the whole design. I think I might be using more templates and pretty soon my stash of digital layouts that I've created will be in double figures
