"In my middle school years I used to spend the hottest days before the family summer's vacations reading everything I could find in my parents library. My sweet grandma, who lived with us, had always her awesome homemade balck cherry beverage and I used to drank huge, iced glasses of that sweet drink.
I remember the slightly sour flavor, it will always be the one of summer, silence and exciting adventures of mind. I never asked her the recipe, never thought that she wouldn't be here forever. I know I can't feel that taste ever again, but if I close my eyes & think of my teen years...that's the flaor of freedom and hope for me."
