@flowersgal thanks Patsy!! After my parents passed, my brother had me take all the family photos.. eventually his son will get them but currently i am the keeper i also like to scrap the old family photos as i feel like i am visiting with them. I am fortunate i knew my ggma.. and was about 2 when she passed (standing woman)… my grandma sitting on the fence passed in my sr year of HS… this is my Dad’s side .. his Mom and Maternal grandmother
how much I love your old photos, all, so so much, but this one tales the crown!!!!! how amazing both of them!!!!!! LOVE the monochromatic photo fitting with the strong colors, fabulous celebration and every detail has your signature elegance!!!! the stitching, the inner shadows, everything makes my heart sing!!!!!!!!!!
@MrsPeel thank you Cynthia My Great Grandmother was a pip... she lost her husband very young (my GG father died from drowning when my grandmother was 16)... she then went to work being a governess etc. to put food on the table for my grandmother & granduncle. Anyway, with her being a governess, in the late 1910's and early 1920's she was up to date with fashion, thus those hats and glasses with that coat and printed flower dress. Don't know if she lent things to my grandma with her hat and coat and sitting there on the top of the fence but you would have loved my Grandmother.. she was a hoot and daredevil!!! XOXO
PS My great grandmother is the one from Denmark that Vivi had translated her baptism certificate for me
oh I would have loved your whole family!!!!!! I learned about them with every page, you know I love all your pages with old photos, especially the ones with you in them!!! you were always so beautiful, and cute as a child!!!!!!!! Need to catch up with your gallery again, will do later! LOVE YOU!!!!
