My favorite season has to be that of summer. Summer to me means the sunshine on my face, the wind on my hair and jumping into the lake. Some of my favorite memories are that at my grandparents cottage on Lake Neshonoc in West Salem, Wisconsin. Ever since I was a young girl, it has been my spot to rewind and let go. Many summers have been spent here swimming, camping, fishing, boating and more recently kayaking. When I was a young girl there was always a huge family reunion at the cottage yearly and while it has been quite some time since we got the whole side of the family together, we still have family gather each year at the cottage to spend quality time together. I even lived at the cottage for a short time after my divorce when I was homeless. Sadly, my grandfather passed on a year ago and some of the family has been debating selling the beloved cottage. And while there are still quite a few of us fighting we don't know what the future holds. Till then, we will continue enjoying the memories that it brings to all of us.
