What a clever name for an exhibit! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a white alligator in person so thanks for sharing! I love the dark background that lets the notebook pages pop. I also love the stripes you used.
I got to hold one of the gators from the exhibit. His name is Po (after the panda from Kung Fu Panda) and I did make him a two page spread of his own. (Sadly, I used supplies from a different store so I can't share it here. I have an alligator element from a kit that I made white and I try to hand-paint the spots on it to match the white gators I see. I am OBSESSED.)
I saw the title and had to see this page. I am so glad those gators are safe in their habitat. They are beautiful. I love your page. I love your photo of you holding the gator. I see his smarty pants mouth is taped up so it can't share it's silly ideas with you or uh, bite the daylights out of you. P.S. I adore your purple hair too, bella!
@trekmom thank you! I'm glad they're safe and snuggly in the air conditioning and shade so they don't get sunburns. I did get nibbled later that day by a hatchling who didn't realize we had opened her egg for her and thought she still needed to bite though. Luckily, her one tooth wasn't very sharp and I was more startled than anything else. (I'm just finishing up that spread now.)
