SOCIAL TAILGATE
A well-attended social affair was held in the tent prior to the game and featured hors d'oeuvres such as veggie egg roll, mac & cheese bites, jalapeño poppers, and cornucopia chicken mousse. Cookies and drinks rounded out the fare. I liked everything except the egg roll.
ALUMNI NIGHT
Around 20 former Crew members were honored at the game tonight. They signed autographs and posed for selfies before the game and were presented to the crowd at half-time. Among those honored were John Harkes, Alejandro Moreno, Jeff Cunningham, Mike Clark, and Duncan Oughton.
HEARTBREAK
With his 10th goal of the season, Pedro Santos put the home team ahead in the 27th minute. With a number of key saves, keeper Eloy Room kept the Fire off the score sheet. But with 7 minutes of 2nd half stoppage time (mostly due to Santos being pounded into the pitch), luck ran out as Przemyslaw Frankowski tied the game in the 94th minute and sent CrewSC fans home heartbroken.
