OMG! I LOVE this, Cheryl! When I used to work in a nursing home, on Saturday nights at 7p.m. while all of our residents would be watching the show, if you walked down the hallway it was like Laurence Welk surround sound! They all just adored him and the show and so of course, I would watch it with them and it was the highlight of their week for some of them. Oh, the memories of some of those sweet ladies! Who would have thought how excited some of the ladies would get to watch him? Anyway, your layering on here is amazing as always and I will have to look up these kits you used to scrap with!
@3BluEyedBabies You are fabulous for caring for the elderly. Not many people have that gift. I LOVE that they watched the Lawrence Welk Show. You should have gotten a bubble machine and gone through their rooms spreading little bubbles! Re: the ForeverJoy kits, I love her design style, but I also love that I can mix and match all of her kits in some form or fashion, which really stretches the scrapping dollar. She has a classic style that doesn't age with trends, you know? Anyway, thank you for sharing your story. You should make a layout about that!
Great nostalgia! My mother was a huge fan. Lawrence Welk on the B&W TV on Saturday night -- no one dared suggest anything else or plan any other activity. I think you have inspired me to create a similar page of memories.
