JOURNALING: This stainless steel sculpture by Dale Johnson sits on top of a platform surrounded by a reflecting pool at First Responders Park in Hilliard Ohio. The form of the sculpture is inspired by flames. Upon closer observation you realize the flames actually are figures welded together. Thirteen percent of the figures are first responders, representing those first responders who died at 9/11; the other 87 percent are ordinary people doing ordinary things. The idea is that it was all of us, the whole country that was affected that day. 4/17/17
