Mostly because some woman told me : "I could have a facelift" Gee, thanks, lady. I'll reach into the couch cushions and get those thousands to have surgery. She's lucky my daughter didn't throat punch her, we had a laugh instead. Not the conversation that helps me get over having my photo taken. I am laughing over it, so there's that. Some people, open mouth, insert foot.
You are beautiful, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Do get into the photos. They are precious, I had a man speak to my husband in an airport queue over my head: if she was my wife, I'd tell her she has grey hair, she should pluck it or dye it... so I turned to his wife, and said to her: I am sorry for you, I think I have better taste in men.
@scrapchyck Thank you so much. @Annsofie Thank you very much. Old habits die hard. @zinzilah Thank you and thank you for sharing your story too! That man is a jerk. Can you imagine saying that to another man? It's just women that get this. Ugh, people! @ajm Thank you so very much. My therapist says my humor is my super power. @Gaelle Thank you! @Angela Toucan Thank you, that is so kind of you and I promise that I will.
YES! I love seeing your face! I hope you take more pictures of yourself and include them on your pages. Your history matters too! I loved reading your journaling! I think we are all too critical of pictures of ourselves. I do it too!
OMG! Lately every doctor I see eventually says "At your age .." and I want to slap them so I can definitely relate to that reaction . I love these photos, and love that you showcased them. They deserve to be seen and celebrated just like you do. Love this page
