Your first field day--and I missed it. I was away on a trip and couldn't be there. I am such a spoiled mom being able to stay home with you guys and be around for nearly each and every event of your lives. I felt sad to miss this day, but Dad promised to take the day off work and go and take tons of pictures. He did! When I got home we looked through all the pictures, and you told me about each one. I am so glad you had such a great day. I am also so glad that I do not have to miss many of the events in your life.
And I guess it is OK for Dad to stand in for mom every once in a while.
