Journaling: The truth is that you love all things outdoors. You both would spend your entire lives outdoors if you could. You love to play in the rain (when mom lets you) and you love to play in the snow. But there is something about a sunny day that really gets you both going. It's like the rays are a magnet that draw you in. You run around and soak it all up and it's apparent you are happiest right there. You are content and most at home when you are playing on a hot sunny day. You both smile the whole time and are seldom in a cranky mood. Well, that is until mom calls you in to take a bath and get ready for bed. Then you act like it's the end of the world. Like you might never get another chance to play in the sun. I don't even mind having to drag you in every evening moaning and complaining because I know I did the same exact thing to my mom. I never wanted to go in at the end of the day either. Maybe that's where you get it from. Like mother, like sons I guess. I still love sunny days. I still love running around the yard and soaking up the rays. But now I love doing all of that so much more with you. Oh how I love sunny days. Except now it's not just the warmth of the sun that I crave. It's the warmth that radiates off both of you. whether it's through your endearing behavior to each other or the endless supply of hugs, kisses and I love you's for me and your father. These are the things I cannot get enough of. When I took this picture you and your brother were running around the yard like usual. You would run to the far end of the yard and the run as fast as you could toward me and throw yourself in my arms and give me the biggest hug you could. This is the kind of game that you both love to play. Not cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians, but hugging games. You know, if the sun went out today and we could never again receive the warmth that she had to offer, I wouldn't worry. I have you two. And from you I can get all the sunshine and warmth that I will ever need.
