"All lines will lead to the Arena this evening for the big hockey match between the Alerts of Ottawa and the Stanley team of Montreal. Perfect ice conditions are promised for the first clash on the local ice between the fair stickhandlers of Montreal and Ottawa, and it is probable that there will be a crowd of two thousand in attendance. The inauguration of ladies' hockey has caused a great deal of interest and in view of the fact that two unbeaten teams are set to clash tonight, there should be all kinds of excitement.
Ottawans may expect to see a real 'phenom' in Miss Edith Anderson, the fast forward of the Alerts. She has been tipped off to N.H.A. scouts as one of the best recruits available. Miss Belle Rogers, captain and cover point of the Alerts, is another star, while Miss Eva Ault has come through the engagments to date with bells on. The Alerts play in striking uniforms of yellow and black, and the outfit is one that is sure to make a hit."
