Are you playing with us the Focus Challenges?
This week is all about focusing on Journaling! I am hosting today the Family History Focus Challenge, which you can find HERE: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/august-25-journaling-family-history.49562/
and this is one of the pages I made for it! The top photo, from left to right: My Grandma Juana, my mum, my Auntie Celia & my uncles Chulo (Raul) & Dari (Eduardo). The one in the individual photo is my mum's other sister, Sara, my auntie Sarita. All my family has always been very together, tight and full of love, and especially my aunties were so amazing to me, giving me support, incentive and advice, unconditional love and they were (together with my Grandma) my rocks (especially my auntie Celia) when we didn't see much eye to eye with my mum.... I wanted to name Sarita with the 3 names, Juana Sara, Celia...but with Andy we had to come to a compromise, his little sister is Sarah, so that went first, and then he said Johanna sounded better with Sarah...but she has never been called Sarah, from nursery to Uni, she has always been Sarita everywhere....one of the things that I love the most and made me HUGELY proud of Sarita (my daughter) is that she grew up to be a family girl, she always chooses holidays to go see the family when she could choose traveling with her friends, and loves having visitors from our family, so so proud to have been able to educate her like this!!!!
oh, this is so beautiful, Cynthia! And talk about a great mix of gorgeous goodies! This page is so cohesive and I love the leaf outline stamp on the page and photo.
I'm a huge fan of stories and vintage photos. This is terrific. You have mastered the art of using bold embellishments without taking away from the story or photos. I'm going to be studying this for awhile as there are so many levels.
