In the Ohio neighborhood where we lived, there was a tradition that on the last day of school, the parents would ambush the kids with water balloons and squirt guns as the kids got off the bus. Needless to say, the kids caught on quickly and they took delight in hiding their own stash of “weapons” to join in the fun. Joey, Andrew and Michael after the battle.
