DYD 2019 Day 19 - Drosselmeyer's Workshop

What a beautiful collection and/or workshop! This was when you toured that house, right? Or castle? LOL I'm old and can't remember now! I love the tag with the nutcracker and the black, white and gold theme with the red accents. Beautifully done!

Totally off subject, but my mom has three nutcrackers that she had my son put on top of her TV armoire this past season. When I went back over to her house, one of the nutcrackers was facing away from the other two. I thought my son did it as a joke, took a picture of it, and then moved it back correctly. The next time I visited, same thing, but this time my son hadn't been there. My mom's too short to even reach the top of the armoire, so I was like, what's going on here? I fixed it again. And, yet again, the next time I'm over, the nutcracker had turned. Mama and I figured that it was an uneven base on the nutcracker, and since her house is off grade, the jostlings that didn't move the other two definitely moved this one. Bwahahahaha! I was like, that thing is possessed! We need to get rid of it! LOL

@gonewiththewind I don't remember the name for the phenomenon but I have the same thing happen with these small Chinese porcelain horses that I have on the top shelf of the china cabinet hutch. Just walking around the house as people normally do causes enough motion that they slowly turn around and face the other way. I used to accuse my husband of moving them deliberately to freak me out!

And these are at a mansion in Oshkosh built in the 1920's that was never lived in and left as a gift to become an art center. Every year they decorate the entire place according to the story of The Nutcracker. They also have beautiful gardens - my son is getting married in the gardens in June.
