A few years back, we got our kids a joint gift of a bunch of nerf swords and an axe. They LOVED outside swordplay at that time, and it was a huge hit for a gift!
@Dalis I've had neighbors ask me how I get my kids to play outside so much - and even hint that it's "weird" that they do so. But I love it. I wouldn't do a single thing to stifle their imagination and their willingness to engage with each other in that world of creativity and activity!
@RebeccaH I miss the phase in our neighborhood when all the kids where dressed up as super heroes. They would just arrive to get each other dressed up!
