Where did you get the cardboard strips?? We have an African Grey Parrot, and she would LOVE these! I am always amazed at how you take so many pieces from so many different kits AND designers and make one cohesive layout. I don't have this talent my friend and I so wish I did!
@mocamom Lol for our birds, the best part of us reno-ing was all the IKEA kitchen packaging, lotsa cardboard. Now I need pics of your African Grey! They are super smart & I can only imagine that she would tear thru that whole box of packaging in no time! my DD is an avid follower of Apollo (an African Grey)on YouTube I think or maybe Instagram & how he identifies everything with his beak & tapping sounds. The cockatiel in my avatar is about 21-22y.o., an African Grey now would be too long a commitment for us but they seem wonderful!
@mocamom I don't know if US IKEA is the same but here there's the ability for people to return all their cardboard to the store and big skip bins in the carpark full of this sort of stuff that they eventually recycle - if you live near an IKEA, my DH reckons it would be worth checking out. After doing a laundry, kitchen & study with IKEA cabinetry, we had so much we did take some back, there was too much to store for our birds!
I didn't know that they did this, but that's so awesome that you have such a great stash for him to shred from all your reno boxes! The one he's on is such a huge piece of cardboard!
