CAMDEN SERIES
We are a patriotic/veteran family, my family fought in the Revolutionary war, ( I am a DAR) and this flag is important to us. We recently visited a famous Rev. War battleground in historic Camden, SC. and this page was inspired by the stories there. They do live reenactments. This flag is from the famous Revolutionary War. (NOT the Civil War as is currently being reported; not racist in any way!) Originating as a motto on an iconic Revolutionary War flag, "Don't Tread on Me" is a historic expression of American patriotism. The Gadsden flag was designed during the American Revolution (1765-1783) by an American statesman, Christopher Gadsden,a delegate from South Carolina to the Continental Congress, in 1775. I am proud of my family and their service, including my veteran husband.
