My first look first-hand of where our new house will be located in Tasmania! Over the moon with the stunning views and beautiful native plants around us!

@bellbird Justine, those grass trees are literally all over our property! Everywhere you look there are some! I can remember buying one at the old house and looking after it with tender care and eventually it began to grow! lol! Now I hundreds and I don't even have to look after them! lol!
@wombat146 LOL well they are the plant equivalent of echidnas to me! i'm sure you'll have a few encounters & photoshoots with local fauna there too and you should feel at home in no time!
ok... so I'm curious about the mention of lantana? Is that a bad thing to you? My sister used to work in a greenhouse and she got me some lantana plants several years ago and I just loved them! They weren't like any other flower I'd had before and I just loved the pink/yellow colors! I'm going to laugh if they are like a weed to you.
@Karen Well yes Karen, downunder it is a terrible weed as it grows so prolifically! The birds eat the seeds and then wherever they poop a new plant is born! A LOT of our native bush has been over run with this horrid plant. However, there is a cultivated version of Lanana which doesn't set seed and will spread by root run, perhaps you have that one? I had that version in my garden and really loved that version! LOL!! I had the purple and another one white and planted them next to each other so grew into one another and created a lovely groundcover.
