Disconnected

Created for the April Monthly Muse - Week 3 - Severed/Connected

Symbology in my layout:
-the zipper cutout represents the relationship, the connection between the word above ground with the world underground, inspired by mycorrhizal connections to plant and tree root systems
-the human hands are not touching, the relationship is severed, representing how disconnected I feel with "us" because we consistently place human desires above Earth preservation and conservation
-the rings around the human heads is a reminder that we are intellectual, creative beings; surely we are smart enough to build our world wonders in a manner that is not destructive to our homeland
