JOURNALING: 8/30/21 This species of grasshopper is one of four commonly found in Ohio. It can be brown, green or yellow and is distinguished by the black chevron stripes on its hind legs. Their antennae are either yellow or reddish-yellow. This grasshopper is an agricultural pest because it feeds on crops such as corn, grapes, alfalfa and fruits.
