This is wonderful, Claire! Not that you're pre-diabetic, but that you caught it in time and you're doing something about it! I LOVE the patterned papers you used and the pictures of your food - it looks darned good, BTW. I know so many people who should be taking preventative measures and they're not!
Thanks @Cherylndesigns appreciate the comments, it is important to take these measures. I have lost 32lbs as a result and my sugar readings have dropped 9 points, so it is worth it! @bellbird thank you! Honestly, I have been surprised about how yummy salad can be!
thanks @Cherylndesigns I had gained a lot of weight thanks to a thyroid issue and breaking my foot in 6 places.. So it feels good to be back in my 2018 wardrobe! Thanks @crazycat1126 I do love a pattern mix xx
@Claire Grantham Wow - breaking your foot will do it - but 6 places??? That's awesome that you've gotten back in your 2018 wardrobe! I've had the opposite thyroid problem - I've finally gotten that under control.
@Cherylndesigns - yeah I was out dancing, there was a loose flagstone and someone jumped on it and I went up in the air and came down awkwardly, I felt the breaks.. I broke x3 toes, my 2nd and 3rd Metatarsals, fractured my middle and medial Cuneiform and broke the lateral cuneiform! It took 9 months to heal, with 3.5months of physical therapy..
Glad to hear your thyroid is under control!
@Claire Grantham Wow! That's a LOT of breaks! Yes, I was on high doses of medication and seeing the specialist once or twice a month for about 3 years. I'm off all my medication now and they had NO idea why it spiked like it did. Thyroids are really hard to control - over active OR underactive. Glad you found out about yours.
