Journal : Deluxe treatment for our excursion to Mount Zao to see the "frosted monsters". A small welcome drink accompanied by a delicious mini dessert: very soft ground rice paste (motchi) with New York-style cheese cake filling. A real delight. And even a little heating pouch each (hokkairo). We're also lent snow boots. And before we set off, of course, we have a little photo session in front of our ride. It takes about 50 minutes to reach the summit, and I'm not unhappy that I chose the upper class, as there's more room to sit down. There was even a little blanket for the knees. Those in second-class vehicles suffered from the heat and the crowded cabin. One person even had to get out midaway, to be seated next to our driver.
