@redplaid3 The first week, setting up a template that works for you, is what will take the bulk of the time. Setting up spots for your dates and rectangles or whatever format you choose for each day's space to write. Once you have that saved, you really can just clip papers to your template layers (for instance, I have a layer behind my weekend days to make those stand out w/ patterned paper). You should give it a try and see if you can tweak it to something simple that will work for you!
BTW, I just print the next week's 1st pg on the back of this week's 2nd pg. Use less paper that way!
